FEDERAL LAWS RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION
Many federal laws impact the construction industry. There are certain laws that have had a particularly strong impact on the construction industry. Some laws have been focused almost solely on the construction industry while others are more generic in their overall scope. You are to conduct a literature review on the Federal Law you select or one that is assigned to you. Where applicable, you are to focus especially on those aspects of the legislation that have had or continue to have an impact on construction. Some laws are as vibrant as ever while some have ceased to be viable. In your research, be sure to include at least one archival reference (attach a photocopy of the first page of the article to the report), however, you are also encouraged to utilize other resources on the Internet for this project. Show all of your references. Reports are to be concisely written in 2 to 3 pages (this is not an absolute constraint). Be sure to utilize good grammar throughout the paper. Due date is November 14. Also, prepare a short powerpoint presentation (about 5 slides) that captures the essence of the information. The powerpoint presentation is to be submitted via email (to hinze@ufl.edu) no later than November 13. Please note that the submittal guidelines are part of this assignment. Groups of one and two people are to work on the assignment.
